Juniper Mountain Hunt Report

In the fall of 2004 my husband Don and I decided to go on an elk hunt. Shortly after that my husband decided that it would be MY ELK HUNT! After some research we decided to go to Juniper Mountain Ranch near St. Anthony, Idaho.
I shot my elk at 194 yards. The bullet hit the elk. The elk hit the ground. When I approached him I was dumbfounded! 8x9 non-typical! Impossible! I had hoped for a nice 6x6 or in my wildest dream 6x7 or a 7x7. I am still pinching myself.

The last few days have been over the top for Rob and me. Being able to spend this time together here on a truly memorable father-son hunt is something I will never forget. Your ranch is beautiful, the elk superb and the lodge feels like home. Oh! By the way did I mention the 363 bull Rob took with his bow at 57 yards? His first elk. WOW!! Thank you for all your hard work; made harder by my taking a 380 bull five minutes later, also by bow.
